”The Trinidad Show,” is an unofficial, but regularly-used title to my travels chronicled on The Global Trip blog.  It came about on the DAY 98 entry of The Global Trip 2004 blog, when British traveling companion Sam and her counterpart Zoe started to realize what most people who’ve traveled me have: that anyone written up on my blog automatically becomes a character in a long-running epic, a cast member in an on-line literary travel show.  Sam and Zoe had missed a bus in Sucre, Bolivia and were subsequently forced to stay overnight another night. 

“I guess we’re going to be characters on your website another day,” Sam told me.

“Yeah, it’s like The Truman Show,” I said, citing the 1998 movie starring Jim Carrey. 

The blog nickname “The Trinidad Show” stuck amongst myself and the other blogreaders—some of which wanted to be a part of said show—and has been used ever since.
